Emerge

The Given Brief

Using a name that I think best represents the students completing the course I created a design that can be used as an E-Invite. This design was then selected to be produced as a web page, bannwer and other possible promotional products for the graduating students of the Diploma of Graphic Design 2022. 

The Mood & Concept 

I chose the word Emerge, (meaning to become apparent or prominent) as it represents how our skill levels have emerged throughout the Graphic Design course. 

Once I had this in mind I played around on paper and came up with my own type that had a continuous line look that was inspired by ligatures in letters. Next, I created a background using existing fonts to create a pattern behind the word “Emerge”. This gives the impression that the word “Emerge” has emerged from the background text. 

Lastly after playing around with different colour schemes I chose a monochromatic theme and added a gradient mask to give my design more depth.
