Drowning in sorrows

The Given Brief

Design a hand illustrated book cover based on a series of poems that were provided from the author, then turn the final design into a book cover mock-up.

The Mood & Concept

Using a part of the same poem that I faced my design from Dancing Souls on, I created my design once again based on

key points from the poem. 

The line I used was “...Those who fall may never love again.”

I then used this as the main inspiration for my design. Using symbolism of drowning in water, I then used this to represent the feeling of "drowning in tears" when heartbroken.  I Used bright yellows and neutral tones to for the subject as it created a nice contrast between the foreground and the background.
